The Day of the Dead or Día de los Muertos
is a holiday that surpasses any other in our Western world. In a culture that has delegated death an almost invisible corner of our existance, and yet is held spellbind by it's presence whenever shrouded in acts in violence or committed by those who are famous and otherwise worthy of popular news-making, this holiday does the unthinkable - it brings this aspect of the life cycle down to the level of each and every one of us forcing us to confront the inevitable.
